Source: The Wisconsin State JournalAug.自存倉 15--Madison's popular Ride the Drive event, which opens a portion of city streets to non-motor vehicles only for a short period, takes over a West Side area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The event allows bicyclists, roller bladers and pedestrians to get out and use the streets while also enjoying a variety of scheduled activities along the route.Ride the Drive West Side features a loop that runs along Regent Street, from South Segoe Road to South Rosa Road, and back along South Hill Drive to Regent. Crossing points for vehicle traffic will be open along the way but controlled by Madison police.In addition to being able to enjoy roads free of motor vehicles, Ride the Drive participants can take part in a variety of activities on the route. There is music and entertainment, alo迷你倉新蒲崗g with children's activities and a festival atmosphere. Vendors are on hand to sell food and merchandise, and organizations set up information booths.Water is available at designated tents along the route, but participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle.Madison's Ride the Drive debuted in August 2009, aimed at highlighting cycling and other alternative transportation, celebrating neighborhoods, and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
