Source: St.儲存 Louis Post-DispatchAug. 20--WENTZVILLE --A 20-year-old man with a recent history of violent behavior was in custody Monday after police say he grabbed a young girl from her front porch with the intention of harming her.Luckily, authorities say, the girl's mother was nearby and chased after the man, resulting in him eventually throwing the girl to the ground.Police say at 12:35 p.m. Sunday, two young girls were sitting on the porch of a home on Marshall Drive when John Calvin Perry III approached and started talking to them.Perry suddenly grabbed one of the girls, a 7-year-old, and began running with her in the direction of his home in the 100 block of Hockman Drive, the next street over.The girl's mother saw what happened and chased Perry about half a block before he threw the girl down in the grass and continued to run away. The girl was unharmed.A short time later, police arrested Perry. He told authorities a voice told him "he needed to hurt someone," and the girl was the first person he saw. He told police he knew what he was doing was wrong, but he could not explain why he did it.Perry had just bee新蒲崗迷你倉 released from jail 10 days before the incident. In the earlier case, which happened July 30 at his home, he allegedly choked his sister three times, one of the times saying, "I love you, but I'm sorry."Perry's sister eventually was able to break free and was so frightened that she grabbed her 9-month-old child and ran out of the residence without stopping to put on pants, police said.After that incident, Perry told police that he had choked his sister for no reason. He said he felt like he had lost control of his body.In that case, Perry was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault, and his bail initially was set at $15,000 cash only. However, on Aug. 8, Associate Circuit Court Judge Phillip Ohlms agreed to reduce the bail to a $500 recognizance bond, and Perry got out of jail.In Sunday's case, Perry is facing a charge of felony child kidnapping.
