Spending rises 10pc to HK$3.儲存倉7b last month, with online sector the star performer after 37pc jumpAdvertising spending in Hong Kong inched towards the HK$4 billion mark last month, recovering from a dip in June, after marketers rolled out their campaigns for the summer holidays.Expenditure rose 10 per cent to HK$3.71 billion last month, up from HK$3.37 billion a year earlier, and advanced from HK$3.36 billion in June, according to estimates released yesterday by media-monitoring firm admanGo. It was the city’s highest level of monthly advertising spending so far this year.Jennifer Ma, the director of sales and marketing at admanGo, said the increase in campaigns last month was “stimulated by marketers’ hopes of sales growth during the summer holidays”.That also helped total expenditure for the seven months to July reach HK$23.66 billion, surpassing the HK$21.68 billion spent in the same period last 迷你倉沙田ear.Television, free newspaper, magazine, radio, online, mobile and outdoor media each posted a year-on-year increase in advertising revenue last month.Paid newspaper, however, was the sole media category to record a decrease in advertising revenue. It declined 6 per cent to HK$591 million from HK$625 million a year earlier.Online media posted the biggest rise in advertising revenue share, with campaigns up 37 per cent to HK$297 million from HK$216 million the previous year.Biotherm, the French luxury skincare brand owned by L’Oreal, put about 80 per cent of its HK$5.3 million advertising spending into online campaigns.Banking and investment services were the top-spending industry category for the second consecutive month, with campaigns that grew 20 per cent year on year to HK$388 million.The city’s top advertiser last month was Procter & Gamble, which boosted spending 7 per cent to HK$89 million.迷你倉價錢
