Source: The Post-Crescent, Appleton, Wis.迷你倉Sept. 21--Time Warner Cable customers don't have to worry about missing new episodes of "The Voice" or "Parks and Recreation" next week.WGBA-TV Channel 26, the local NBC affiliate, returned to Time Warner Cable's lineup beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.The cable company has blocked the station since July 26 because of a dispute over transmission fees between Journal Broadcast Group, the TV station's parent company, and Time Warner Cable. Joe Poss, general manager for NBC 26, told Post-Crescent Media a deal was reached.The blackout had TV fans worried they would miss the fall NBC prime-time lineup that kicks off Monday.Though it appeared the two sides were at an impasse, Jim Thomas, vice president of local programming and marketing for Journal Broadcast Group in Milwaukee, said negotiations had been ongoing."I think both sides were working at it. It's just we weren't working at it in public," he said. "It took awhile to iron out the final details. It's a much more complex media worked today. We're just thrilled to be back on, serving the customers of northeastern Wisconsin."Thomas would not disclose terms of the agreement, but described it as a "long-term" deal that would ensure viewers would have uninterrupted access to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and 2016 Summer Gam儲存s in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, along with Super XLIX in Glendale, Ariz. -- all of which will be broadcast on NBC."Those big events that lots of viewers set their calendars by are not being threatened," he said. They're within this agreement so it's great news for viewers."Time Warner Cable spokesman Mike Hogan said the company did not have any immediate plans to increase customers' fees due to the deal with Journal Broadcast Group.Andrew Rosenberg, senior vice president, content acquisition for Time Warner Cable, thanked customers for their patience and loyalty throughout the dispute."As in all of our negotiations, we aim to hold down programming costs and retain our ability to deliver a great video experience for our customers," Rosenberg said in a statement.
