A leading mainland travel agency said 100 yuan (HK$128.迷你倉12) tours to Hong Kong being promoted under its name are a scam.China International Travel Services denies offering the two-day tours to the SAR as published in promotional leaflets.The Hong Kong Tourism Board also yesterday denied it is involved in the promotion, as stated in the leaflets.The leaflets claim the two-day Hong Kong "classic trip" includes visits to Government House, Wong Tai Sin's Taoist temple, Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui, other tourist spots in Causeway Bay and Mong Kok as well as Ocean Park and Disneyland.The leaflets claim accommodation and meals would be covered but not the price of tickets to Ocean Park and Disneyland.Those on the tour would also be required to visit jewelery shops.The leaflets claim that for 368 yuan, tourists may choose a two-day "quality trip" to the SAR.Those who join the "classic" and "quality" trips would be pu自存倉 up in hostels and three- star hotels respectively, the leaflets claim.However China International Travel Services said it has not organized such tours and the promotion is bogus. The company added that it only launches such promotions either at its outlets or through exhibitions.A spokeswoman for the tourism board said it is deeply concerned about the matter and will contact its mainland counterpart.At present, mainland tourists generally pay between 1,300 and 1,500 yuan for a two-day visit.Michael Wu Siu-ying, chairman of the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong, said some unscrupulous mainland agencies promote these bogus tours to attract those living in Shenzhen and Guangzhou."They will then force tourists to go shopping after arriving here," Wu said."We have already demanded that local travel agencies not deal with such unscrupulous mainland agencies and report them to the tourism authorities over the border."迷你倉出租
